How To Submit
​​We are looking for at least twenty poems, five short fiction pieces, five short creative nonfiction pieces, and five art pieces to feature in each issue. This may change depending on our stream of submissions!
For Poetry

You may submit 1-3 poems (500 words or less each) each submission period.

Your piece(s) should be in 12-point Time New Roman.

Put your poem(s) in one Google Doc. If you have more than one poem, please put them on their own separate pages.

Be sure to put your contact information in the left corner of the first page of your Google Doc.

Turn your Google Doc into a .PDF and email it to artemismagazine87@gmail.com. In the subject line, write, “Poetry - your full name/pen name.”
For Short Fiction

​You may submit 1-2 short fiction pieces (500-1,000 words each) each submission period.

Your piece(s) should be double-spaced and in 12-point Times New Roman.

Put your piece(s) in one Google Doc. If you have more than one flash fiction piece, please put them on their own separate pages.

Be sure to put your contact information in the left corner of the first page of your Google Doc.

Turn your Google Doc into a .PDF and email it to artemismagazine87@gmail.com. In the subject line, write, “Flash - your full name/pen name.”
For Short Creative Nonfiction

You may submit 1-2 short creative nonfiction pieces (around 3,000 words each) each submission period.

Your piece(s) should be double-spaced and in 12-point Times New Roman.

Put your piece(s) in one Google Doc. If you have more than one creative nonfiction piece, please put them on their own separate pages.

Be sure to put your contact information in the left corner of the first page of your Google Doc.

Turn your Google Doc into a .PDF and email it to artemismagazine87@gmail.com. In the subject line, write, “CN - your full name/pen name.”​
For Art

You may submit 1-2 pieces of art each submission period.

Convert your piece(s) to JPEG or .PDF images and email your work to artemismagazine87@gmail.com. In the subject line, write, “Art - your full name.”
While submitting, in the body of your email, introduce yourself and tell us the name(s) of your piece(s). Please additionally let us know if your piece(s) are simultaneous submissions. We welcome them, however, notify us if they get accepted anywhere else. Please also include a third-person bio (approximately 100 words) about yourself. You may also mention any social media handles in your bio. If we choose to publish your submission(s) on our website, we will add your bio at the bottom of your work. We will try and respond to you within 14 days after submitting. If we are taking longer than 14 days to get back to you, nudge us with a follow up email, and we will tell you what’s up. Please only submit once during each submission period.
If you get accepted into our journal, you will receive a congratulatory email by EIC Samantha Szumloz. If you would like us to publish your work, send us a jpeg headshot of yourself to accompany your piece(s). If you would not like us to publish your work, please let us know ASAP.
If your work has not been accepted for the upcoming issue, you may submit again when the next submission period opens!
